Faith, not Fear; Prospering during Election Season

Back in early March, I imparted the vision I had to prepare for the coming outbreak of Corona virus to encourage, inform, and equip friends. https://revivaissanceblog.wordpress.com/2020/03/11/preparing-for-the-virus-epidemic-with-faith/

Election season approaches, and I share action points to partner with God for your family and communities, through various Christians and research organizations, as Father God has revealed.

Keep up your Strength. Keep up your strength with spiritual health. Read your Bible, worship, dance in worship everyday if you can. Physical Health-Drink lots of water, eat as naturally as you can, avoid sugar and junk food, as Covid-19 uses sugar to cause respiratory inflammation.  Take vitamin D, vitamin C, and zinc.  Hydroxychloroquine is available through frontlinedoctors Exercise daily in the sunshine if possible. Keep up your mental health: start the day with reading a whole Bible chapter; watch news sources that are not fear mongering, are ProLife, focus on Solving problems and God’s power; don’t watch the news all day every day; watch the reliable news source at night.

Community Marriage-Be kind to your spouse, and keep talking about how you feel about everything, or as men say, what they think about things. Remind each other what you like and love about one another. Children-Impart to them the truth that God will never leave them nor forsake them; You will always be there as much as it depends on you; The children can pray for you and for your marriage; Life is beautiful and life also has trials; God’s Word has what they need to live; God will connect with them every day as they pray, worship, study, work, care for others, especially the needy; God has a powerful and unique destiny for them; God has eternal life for those who follow Him, through Jesus, His son, and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Read classic books aloud (Narnia, The Hobbit, Heidi, and more…) Play music together, however basic or advvanced. Focus on being kind to everyone around you. Hold onto Humor-Share about 2-4 jokes, or funny stories, or memories for every serious conversation with family or friends. Join Zoom communities twice a week or what you can manage. Pray for blessings on family, and strangers, simply and caringly, even out loud In Person; Everybody really appreciates kindness and caring right now.

OUR NATION PRAY FOR GOD’S REPENTANCE AND SALVATION ON OUR NATION, AND THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN OF ALL AGES; FOR RECONCILIATION AND UNITY AND NO CIVIL WAR; PRAY FOR FREE ELECTIONS AND GODLY LEADERS; PRAY FOR PEACE IN SEPTEMBER THROUGH DECEMBER.  Some call this “Voting in Heaven”. (Kevin Zadai)

SUSTENANCE Prepare food sources for 3 weeks, approximately, in case of civil unrest, and grocery stores shutting down. Canning meat and veggies in sauces, in a pressure cooker with your favorite spices, can be a warm, tasty, hearty meal and bring normalcy and strength in a microwave, stove, or campfire. Canning anything is powerful! Canned goods, fresh and dried fruit, and lots of water, strengthen our sweet families. Kale chips and Pickled eggs, anyone?

HYGIENE Purchase a bidet, or purchase squirt bottles and cut up small, washable cloth drying squares (half of a washcloth) to collect in a small hamper. Toilet paper will be in demand again, and bidets or squirt bottles will save finances, time, and headaches.

SAFE VOTING Join She Prays She Votes to join virtual hands with other Mamas and families who treasure faith, family, and freedom. Good advice for people who feel unsafe about voting in person but now fear the USPS will be unable to deliver a “mail-in” ballot in a timely fashion. There is a way around it: 1. Request a mail-in ballot.2. Do not mail it.3. Google your supervisor of elections to see where you can drop off your mail-in ballot. Its usually NOT THE POLLING PLACE. All states allow this! Here is what you’re accomplishing by doing this:1. You’re not relying on the USPS to get your ballot in on time, so no matter what, your ballot gets in on time.2. You don’t have to worry about standing in long lines and risking infection. You’re just stopping by to drop it off.3. You still voted! Hooray! Also, when you drop it off find out how to track it online to make sure it is verified. California, Oregon, Washington Colorado have systems that can track your ballot just like tracking a package from Amazon.***This is very important and I would appreciate everyone who sees this to copy it on their page.

Christian Statesmanship protects the littlest ones among us

John Quincy Adams and his wife Abigail moved to Philadelphia after his presidential term was over.  They advocated for the emancipation of the slaves, as Adams served as a Senator in the Capitol after the Revolutionary War. They were ostracized as they labored faithfully against the status quo of slavery, in their old age, when others would have retired in comfort.

This was the heart of the Adamses who cared about and served their community all their lives.  Abigail Adams declared that Christians are responsible for the character of our elected representatives. Churches who empower church members to be involved in education, prayer, and activism, are teaching them to manage a stewardship that has some of the most far-reaching implications for the gospel in our lives.   Jesus said the critical division between the sheep and the goats, genuine believers and fakes, was that the sheep cared for the orphan, widow, prisoner, and the needy.  The type of legislation that we vote for determines the quality of life of those very orphans, widows, prisoners, and the needy.  So, does our influence, or lack of influence, affect how those precious groups live and die, and how easy it is share the gospel with them?

A precious group that In this day and age has been battled over is the babies in the womb, and the struggle is over their sanctity of human life.  The dark evil of abortion on demand throughput all 40 weeks is a cancer.  The cancer of the Holocaust of the Innocents was initiated by a handful of people, and it has spread to our whole country to the horrific toll of 65 million little baby Americans. The majority of babies killed in abortion are targeted because they’re black. This cancer is reminiscent of the way the cancer of slavery started with a handful of victims and grew to infect the whole nation. Whether we realize it or not, we’ve experienced what it was like for Christians to coexist with slavery and for Christians to coexist with the Jewish Holocaust.

Many Christians feel that they personally reject abortion on demand, and therefore they are not complicit in abortion.  The sobering reality is that we have allowed the laws that we are responsible for, to be legislated for the mass murder of little baby Americans. In particular because of their skin color. Even our tax dollars have been hijacked to pay for the slaughter of little babies. So it’s not enough to refuse to kill a baby, we must fight using every tool that we can, to reject wicked legislation and restore legal protection for little babies’ lives.

Since they are completely unprotected, although bald eagles, sea turtles, and snail darters are rigidly protected, the lack of protection has allowed the completely depraved, evil exploitation of their little bodies.  Unrestricted abortion on demand is used to kill the little babies, and then to sell their body parts. The cannibalization of the little babies is so unconscionable and horrific that it seems that people have not really grasped the reality of what is happening.  If our manufacturing industry, pharmaceutical industry, and research see the little babies’ bodies as another commodity and a natural resource, then are we at a point in history where the baby’s cries are reaching to heaven? Are we coexisting with the Holocaust of ten times more innocents than perished in the Jewish Holocaust? Are we a church that has chosen to be undisturbed about genocide in our neighborhoods? Have we chosen to go along with the authorities, and lost the conviction of the holy spirit that leads us to be willing to lose friends, go to prison, or lose income?

May the church use every tool that we have to speak out against the Holocaust of the Innocents. May God give us God-fearing leaders who will listen to heaven, and be willing to fight to end the slaughter and cannibalization of little baby Americans.

Cochabamba Bolivia Hospital Project

Bolivia is a a nation of family-loving, industrious, reverent people, who capture your heart. My parents’ ethic of hard work and devotion was reflected in the Bolivian Revolution last year. The Bolivian people shut down the country for 3 weeks, sacrificing their economy, when the police and then the army sided with the Resistance.

They resisted the Marxist dictator, fighting for their survival, and narrowly avoided the same fate as Venezuela. My Venezuelan friends sorrowfully asked me how Venezuela could regain their freedom, and be like Bolivia? My heart grieves with them, and we believe together for freedom for Venezuela. Presently, Bolivia needs the help of freedom-loving people like you. Bolivia is facing the Covid-19 pandemic in midwinter in the southern hemisphere, with a hospital system that was ravaged by the deposed dictator. Their hospitals are facing collapse. In the U.S. we’ve battled Covid-19 with knowledge, a heroic private sector, and a strong hospital system. Bolivia’s medical system is still rising from the ashes. Those leading the charge to provide care for the Bolivian people include some of our family members. My cousins are involved in directing the medical response in Cochabamba.  Luis Bustamante is a surgeon and President of the Surgeons of Bolivia.  Javier Bustamante is a cardiologist, foster parent, advocate for kidney patients, and beloved benefactor in his community.  Edgar Cambos and Mariana Bustamante, husband and wife, are leading a donation, crowd funding campaign to provide basic PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, oxygen equipment, and Covid-19 rt PCR tests to isolate ailing, infected patients.

The Mandevilla Bridge

My eyes relished the dark greens and passionate pinks of the Mandevilla on the sun drenched front patio, as I placed the Spanish moss on the harsh points of the giant branch serving as a trellis and focal point in the center of the nearby lacy, iron Bistro table and chairs. The sunshine was becoming brilliant on the concrete as noon approached.  The feelers of the plant had reached like long, straight tendrils, from the large container to one chair’s back, then up the large branch.

I had removed them from the chair filigree, so the chair wouldn’t become overgrown, but could be a repose to drink in the beauty of the Mandevilla and the few flowering trees at our entrance to our home.  The beautiful plant aspired once again to reach the chair, but this time traveled past directly onto the branch/trellis, and graced the Bistro set, transforming a functional seating piece into a spiritual experience.

The chair had been a bridge.  For a time, it supported the young Mandevilla plant, and supported it as it spanned the reality of home, then outwards, to engage and to take hold in the world around it.

The chair was similar to me.  It was similar to the Mothers who have directed their children’s reaching tendrils, and equipped them to be able to take hold of good supports. In this era of dangerous and false supports, some mothers have actually become bridges, educating their children, themselves.  The sacrifice of giving up decades of career and of income to disciple their children in a well loved curriculum and vision, spoke of a journey of immersing selves in a family garden.    When the chair was covered by Mandevilla, it luxuriated with green and yellow-green life that flourished, grew, and played a verdant symphony. Not overtaken, but interwoven with the life and destiny of the young vines.

The Mothers who have educated at Home, could have allowed their little ones to find the table by themselves, reaching out onto a longer, farther road, less sure of their success to alight and take hold.  At this point in history, where public education has grown, and loomed into a massive secular edifice of bureaucracy. the God cornerstone has been left out, and the building is tilting treacherously.  Secular, rings like seco, dry in Spanish, and how parched is education without the Master Educator and Creator.  But, raising young vines in a well watered, though imperfect soil, has nourished the deepest heart of these young, praising, and healthy ones.  They are free to choose their own path, but the Mothers who have been a bridge for a time, are unique in this moment in history.   Will homeschooling continue? Will it continue to flourish as it has, 2 Million students strong? It may or may not, but the women, and some men, who interwove with their children, and carried them into the their emerging adult world, helping them to connect, have carried their young, beautiful vines, and perhaps also civilization, at a time in history when the education edifice conspired to mass produce plants with no heart and no God. Mothers and Fathers have been a bridge of historic and God-anointed proportions. Michael Farris, founder of the Homeschool Legal Defense Association, paid homage, saying, “This generation of homeschoolers will rise up and call their mothers blessed, because they could’ve sent them to government school.”
